Many people believe we are somewhere along the transition into the Age of Aquarius. What they don’t often tell you is this means the Age of Pisces is ending. The Ages move backward through the zodiac.
On March 30th, and for the first time in 14 years, Neptune left Pisces, moving forward into Aries. Saturn will follow in May. Both planets will retrograde back into Pisces in Autumn. They will reenter Aries next winter and then conjunct shortly after that. These planets conjunct about once every 35 or 36 years.
If you include the North Node, we’ll have to wait until July 2026 for Pisces to be fully vacated.
Neptune is the modern ruler of Pisces. After 14 years of Neptune in Pisces, we now have what I would call the pinnacle of that influence.
One way I describe Neptune is also a way I describe the Moon card in the Tarot. It is early dawn and a dense fog blankets the land. Even though there is light, your eyes cannot see anything but what is right in front of your face. Sound is muffled. It is eerily quiet. It’s hard to see where you are going. To me, Neptune represents altered states of consciousness. Some of these are sought, some of these are disassociating.
My visual for Pisces is a fish swimming in the middle of the ocean far from land. The ocean is the ultimate aggregation. Some pockets are warm; some are cold. The water is calm in some places, swept up in a current in others. There are safe places and places where you are completely exposed and vulnerable.
After 14 years of Neptune in Pisces, reality feels less real and all semblance of consensus is gone. The confusion and mystery has never been higher in my lifetime.
The fact is, we never really had consensus. The difference is, 15 years ago, the ocean was more like a vat of myriad colors of paint. There was blue over here and red over there, yellow in one spot, green in another. All the colors were present, but they only mixed at the edges.
Neptune moving through Pisces has been like a giant stick moving through that vat. The more it moved, the more one color bumped up against another. That stick moves slowly, so instead of the colors blending, they are striating. Every color is now aware of (and arguing with) all the others.
In the macro, Pisces can be visualized as a school of fish. There is safety in numbers. A school swimming together in the ocean is akin to one specific color within that vat of paint. As long as an individual stays within his or her group, all is well. We enjoy likemindedness. We like to feel like we belong. We want to get along. We enjoy the harmony, the acceptance, and the jokes. Think about high school rivalries. Part of supporting your team is to hate and make fun of the opponent, especially before the “big game”.
Isn’t politics the same? [They] have schooled us into two parties, with big games every two years. If you don’t pick one of those two sides, you’re left out; you’re insignificant.
Swimming in the ocean, alone, is a challenging journey indeed. It is lonely. It is scary. However, it can be very rewarding.
I heard the following entrepreneurial expression once and it really resonated with me:
“If you want to go fast, go it alone. If you want to go far, go with others.”
Spiritually, if you want to explore far and wide, go it alone, but if you want safety, stay with the group. In my opinion, it takes a lot longer for a group to progress spiritually because it must pace itself to whoever is slowest.
Consensus is not really an option any longer. Every group is divided within. There are still options for staying with a group, but one must controversial subjects in order to do so.
However, school is nearly over.
Pluto is now in Aquarius for the next two decades. By August of ‘26, Pisces will be completely vacated. Between now and then, more and more Aries energy will rise up through the water, bubbling and boiling it away.
While Pisces is the most collected and aggregated, Aries is the most individuated. Pisces is all purple; Aries is true blue or true red. Pisces is the most receptive…all ears. Aries is deaf shouting into a bull horn. Pieces feels the weight of the world pressing upon it. Aries expresses its opinion like a flamethrower.
Given the nearly complete breakdown of consensus, we now have contention that is becoming more and more kinetic. Every day, I see new videos of people vandalizing Teslas. Every day, I hear how others are sleuthing in order to identify these people. And then I see the results of that sleuthing: namely the arrests of the individuals.
Even near the small shop where I work, contention is happening. One weekend, a bloodied man walked down S. Congress Ave and assaulted anyone he encountered. Then, less than two weeks later, someone slashed a sign out front because they didn’t agree with message.
In order to graduate from school, one has to pass their final exams. There are many who believe this is indeed where we are now.
In my mind, any or all of the following could be at play now:
- Universe is beseeching us to choose.
- Universe wants us to create our own sense of morality.
- Universe is giving us an opportunity to flush out and resolve old karma.
- There may be a few options in store, but each comes with its own requirements. We can’t just choose a path, we must be willing and able to walk it.
You can’t jump to the end. You can’t know which path will take you where you want to be the fastest. However, you take yourself whichever way you go.
It really seems to me as if people are losing their $#1T more and more, but perhaps it’s artificially amplified online.
I keep thinking this tension is unsustainable, and yet it persists into the next month and year.
If feel like something big it about to happen, but then…nothing. Well, lots is happening, but not the thing I feel we’re waiting for…
