A Fiery Maelstrom

Today is June 9, 2025 and is the day that Jupiter ingresses the sign of Cancer (around 5 pm CDT).

Jupiter is a multiplier. Whatever it touches or aspects will be exaggerated significantly. 0O Cancer is an Aries point. The main Aries point is 0o Aries, but the 3 other points which square or oppose it also share that name. As the cusp into Cardinal signs, they are considered hotspots.

If you look at the chart for right now (as I write this) you will notice that most of the points are at the very beginning or very end of a sign. Earlier I wrote about how all the outer planets will change signs over a 12 month period, which is highly unusual and dramatic in terms of world events. We are seeing this now. After today, only one remains.

Jupiter is exalted in Cancer meaning it is most powerful in that sign. Cancer is the sign that represents the greatest expression of emotion. Whatever is felt will be immediately expressed.

The United States Sibley chart (July 4, 1776) features sun in Cancer. Those who feel strongly toward the USA (loving it or hating it) will be expressing their feelings more so than possibly ever in our lifetime.

Saturn conjunct Neptune in Aries is pure ire. These planets are as opposite as can be, yet are blending and sharing maximally. One wants flow, the other wants control. When two disparate planets conjoin like this, it is akin to an opposition or square, but since they are in the same sign, the conflict between them is even greater. They are literally fighting fire with fire.

And Jupiter, feeling the fire from 90o degrees away, will simply escalates it all by amping up everyone’s emotion.

In less than a month, Uranus will break free from the most stable sign (Taurus) and enter the most changeable sign (Gemini). The conflicts we are seeing intensify now will likely vacillate between really strong and slightly less strong, nearly completely out of control, then only somewhat contained, but won’t, perhaps, break free one way or the other until mid July.

Pluto, sitting in early Aquarius, aligns with all the other cusp dwelling points. It adds purpose to it all, even if not contributing anything specific. We will see revolution and riot in the short term, but when viewed from high up and over this whole span of time, you will see transformation. The old world we grew up in is collapsing, consumed in a fiery maelstrom. Only hints of what will replace it can be glimpsed by those with discerning eyes.

Mars spent a lot of time in Cancer earlier this year and is now gaining speed. It crosses into Virgo on June 18 and will help move the earth. While Virgo is the sign of improvement and healing, Mars moving through there will be akin to tough-love medicine. Don’t expect anything gentle from that. Don’t think you’ll be able to stop the acceleration, which is gaining momentum. If you want my advice, stay out of the street!

It’s gonna be a hot summer. View the chaos from afar and stay focused on your life and loved ones.

You can’t stop the torrent of the flash flooding river, but you can step back from the banks.
